Community Harvest Festival

Our Annual Community Event and “Fun-Raiser,” happens every fall at the turning of the autumn solstice. We celebrate this special time of year with families and young children, alongside community friends and partners.

Our goal at this event is connection – to the season, the inherent cycles of nature, delicious and local food, gently harvested by our farmer friends, our lovely animal friends both wild and not-so-wild, as well each other. We are a sensory-friendly event with an old-timey feel, and seek to provide a morning that all children can enjoy.

Entry is ‘pay as you will’ – every donation helps us to serve more children in our community. All proceed donations from our Harvest Festival go directly toward the Greenplay Northwest Scholarship Fund. This fund helps connect young children to the benefits of nature by assisting with tuition and outdoor gear costs for our early learning education programs.

Our favorite activities include: Apple cider pressing, eco face-painting, s’mores around the fire pit, organic soups, harvest season muffins, outdoor yoga, nature play, creating art, enjoying music, caring for animals, storytelling, and more!

Interested in becoming a Community Partner?:  We encourage like-minded individuals and organizations to join us! As always, there are no vendor fees, however, we ask that you make an in-kind donation of proceeds, goods, or a gift to our organization. Our Community Harvest Festival is a great way to connect with the families you serve and to spread your good work and cheer. We are especially interested in local business and organizations who are: Farmers, Artists, Food Artisans, Woodworkers, Gardeners, Educators, Environmental Stewards, Eco-Friendly Businesses, Musicians, and Health and Wellness Providers.

UPDATE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, plans for our next Community Harvest Festival have not been set yet. Please stayed tuned for future announcements regarding this magical community gathering.
